its 100% not a downgrade. in diablo 3 4 people play but only one can use the menu at all times. at least in diablo 2 its 2 people at the same time without interrupting what the other does. its a huge step forward from diablo 3. they theoretically could divide both halves again and make 4 quarters out of it but maybe that would be too small for this amount of text.
