In the red circle in the attached pic. This is one large spring plate, split at the ends. The release bearing pushes against the ends of these fingers.

Pump shouldn't really become clogged, running on empty causing issues is an urban myth, fuel is picked up from the same place (bottom of the tank) regardless of if the tank is empty or full. Warning lights and beeps come on, and the dash sometimes says "Gearbox Fail." or "Gear unavailable" but the only errors the examiner has read are "Gear change control" once and "Fuel level signal" once. Dec 25, 2011 · open boot. remove screw from trim pull to close handle. grip trim firmly near glass and pull hard. un pop all the clips taking care near boot catch (where its thin and not very strong) once released put boot trim to one side (perhapse need pliars to remove any stubborn trim pegs that have come away and stuck in the boot)

That can cause the disc to snatch when you brake. Obviously you don't need too much force to lock a rear wheel on a hatch. You should be able to get a feel for how the rear brakes are acting via the handbrake. ie if one side is over assertive then you could have a mechanical problem. Re: Grande Punto scary brake issue.
